Abstract
In continuation of work reported earlier, experiments on the different modes of vibration of flexible suspension chains have been repeated and extended. The different periods of vibration found experimentally have been compared with the periods calculated by (1) the author for vibrations perpendicular to the plane of the chain and (2) Saxon and Cahn, also Pugsley, for vibrations in the plane of the chain. An alternate form of vibration perpendicular to the plane of the chain, hitherto not considered, has also been studied. Keywords
