Abstract
A case of increased food consumption and obesity in a 3-year-old boy with acute leukemia is described. The two symptoms, ravenous hunger and obesity developed when the leukemia had persisted for about 12 months at a time when the boy was in hematological remission and on maintenance therapy with 6-mercaptopurine. Autopsy revealed extensive leukemic infiltrates in the hypothalamus, especially around the ventromedial nuclei. Keywords
