Calculation of the Direct Acoustically Induced Optical Harmonic Generation Coefficient

Abstract
The acoustically induced optical harmonic coefficient is evaluated, using a simple bond model. Good agreement with experiment is obtained. We find several important internal contributions to the direct interaction, as previously described by the theory of Nelson and Lax.Keywords
