Abstract
We report on new display architecture of polymer light‐emitting diode (PLED) displays. In this new approach, the pixel drivers, called NanoBlock™ (NB) ICs, are uniformly distributed (embedded) within the display backplane by application of Alien's Fluidic Self Assembly (FSA™) process. Each NanoBlock IC is driving the nearest eight pixels in a direct drive mode. These displays exhibit linear gray scale control, good emission uniformity and respectable efficiency. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
