Abstract
The alternate application of two orthogonal linear polarizations of light to YIG(Si) leads to cyclic elongation and contraction. This effect was observed at liquid‐helium temperatures, and is related to the recently reported photoinduced magnetic anisotropy and dichroism.Keywords
