Abstract
The flux of neutrino-induced upward muons in deep underground is evaluated in the light of recent improvements in our knowledge of charged-current cross-section and the flux of atmospheric neutrinos at sea level. It has been concluded that the higher threshold energy of muons in underground detectors might help to distinguish an astrophysical neutrino signal from atmospheric background. Keywords
