Abstract
The amplitude for Compton scattering from the nucleon is calculated within the framework of the nonrelativistic quark model. The primary objective is to explore the behavior of the model for a variety of observables over a wide range of energies, where multiple baryon resonances can play a role, with an eye toward possible future experiments. Keywords
