Abstract
Electron excited soft X-ray appearance potential spectra are reported for the M 5,4 and N 5,4 levels of Pr, Sm and Er. For Pr the photoyield has also been measured. The results are interpreted in terms of multiplet splitting and are compared with soft X-ray absorption data. Keywords
