Abstract
Dipole autocorrelation functions are calculated classically and assuming binary interactions only, for rare‐gas mixtures. For a Lennard‐Jones potential and an exponential dipole with a reduced range ρ/σ=0.09, a normalized correlation function which is quite close to the experimental one is obtained. The calculated normalized correlation functions are found to be almost independent of the reduced potential well depth, ε/kT, over a wide range of ε/kT and for ρ/σ=0.09–0.11. Omission of the attractive part of the potential has only a small effect on the calculated correlation functions. Keywords
