Abstract
Vento et al. (Jan. 29 issue)1 reported 27 cases of acute hepatitis A among 595 patients with chronic liver disease who were positive for hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) or hepatitis C virus (HCV). Of the 17 patients with acute viral hepatitis A and chronic HCV infection, fulminant liver failure developed in 7, and 6 of them died.Keywords
