Abstract
A technique is described for the fabrication of microminiature Hall probes which perform reliably in liquid helium. These probes consist of vacuum deposited films of InAs and InSb, having a sensitive area of 25×25 μ and a thickness of 5000 to 10 000 Å. The InAs probe is capable of measuring magnetic field intensities of from 1 G to over 50 kG, and is relatively insensitive to changes in temperature and to thermal cycling. The InSb probe is extremely sensitive to magnetic fields and is useful in measuring magnetic field intensities in the fractional Gauss range. Keywords
