Abstract
An angular force model has been applied to investigate the lattice dynamics of platinum metal. The calculated results show satisfactory agreement with the observed phonon dispersion curves and with Debye—Waller factors. The calculated calorimetric Debye temperatures, however, show a substantial disagreement with the experimental results; possible causes of this disagreement are discussed. Keywords
