Abstract
An analytic method is presented for the calculation of plasma protein-bound I from kinetic data based on the I-catalyzed reaction between ceric sulfate and arsenious acid. The reaction is 1st-order with respect to the concn. of ceric ion. The lst-order constant is compared with the increment in the value of the constant caused by addition of 0.04 [mu]g. of I to an aliquot of the unknown soln. The method is rapid, simple and objective and offers several advantages over graphic methods. Keywords
