Abstract
The spectroscopic constants for Xe–HF obtained from molecular beam electric resonance spectroscopy are as follows: The structure and weak bond force constants derived from the spectroscopic constants are consistent with data on other noble gas–hydrogen fluoride complexes. It is found that the electric field gradient at the Xe nucleus for a given HF orientation scales with the electric field gradient arising from HF.Keywords
