Abstract
Relationships between indices of differences in amount and amplitude of alpha activity recorded from right and left occipital areas and sidedness as measured by the Jastak Ambigraph Laterality Test were examined in a group of 50 normal adult male subjects. The indices of alpha activity used were obtained from careful measurements of 40-sec. long sections of simultaneous bilateral eegs. obtained under highly uniform "relaxed" conditions. No significant relationships were found either in the total group or in selected strong right and strong left subgroups. The conclusion is drawn that such measurable differences in alpha activity as do occur in simultaneous bilateral occipital eegs. of normal subjects under relaxed conditions are not significantly related to sidedness. Keywords
