Abstract
Increasing the fat content of the diet increased the weight gain of C3H and A strain mice but not of C57 and I strain animals. Efficiency of food utilization for body weight gain increased with increasing dietary fat levels. Transferring mature animals from a commercial stock ration to a highly purified diet caused least disturbance in body weight if the synthetic diet was of the high-fat type.Keywords
