Abstract
The dipole moment of three spherical atoms, μ(R 12, R 23, R 31) is expanded in inverse powers of the interatomic distances and an expression is obtained for the coefficients of the leading terms, which vary as R -10. These coefficients are accurately evaluated for the case of three hydrogen atoms and an estimate is obtained for their values in He3.Keywords
