Abstract
In vivo and in vitro expts. indicate that inhibition of pyruvate oxidation occurred in animals injd. with bacterial endotoxins. The inhibitory factor was probably identical with the "toxic antigene complet" of Boivin and Mesrobeanu. It is suggested that the inhibition of pyruvic oxidation plays an important role in the toxic effects of endotoxins. The mechanism and structure of the inhibitor is not known. Keywords
