Abstract
In this paper, we model the transport of electrons in a two-dimensional resistor as regions of free propagation with occasional elastic scattering by a random array of scatterers. The overall transmission probability is calculated by cascading the scatter matrices of individual scatterers. Numerical results are presented showing conductance fluctuations in both the weak- and stronglocalization regimes. We also discuss the effect of elastic scattering on the electrostatic Aharonov-Bohm effect. Keywords
