States ofP34

Abstract
The S34(t, He3)P34 reaction has been used to study the mass and low-lying excited states of P34, using 23 MeV tritons and a quadrupole-dipole-dipole spectrometer. The mass excess of P34 is -24 545 (20) keV. Excited states have been observed at Ex=423, 1605, 2225, 2309, and (3345) keV (±10 keV). Spectra of the Mg24(t, He3)Na24 reaction show no evidence for a previously reported state at Ex=2.46 MeV in Na24.
