Abstract
We have made a study of the coherent reactions and at 12 , using data obtained in the SLAC 82-in. bubble chamber. The cross sections for these two processes are 331±35 and 19±4 μb, respectively. The reaction is dominated by production in the system. The shape of the enhancement is nearly identical to that observed in the reaction at similar energies. This result may be interpreted in terms of mixing between the strange members of the and nonets. There are also an signal at GeV and a signal at GeV. The appears to be formed primarily in conjunction with the , with the meson shared between the two of them. The reaction is dominated completely by production.
