Abstract
An attempt is made to summarize all the evidence (a) that E-deficiency in many species leads to myocardial damage and (b) that vitamin E-deficiency in the avg. human diet is a comparatively common phenomenon. The biochemical evidence that E -deficiency may be a factor in heart failure is stressed, as well as the similar therapeutic actions of Vitamin E and digitoxin. Keywords
