Abstract
The rat uterus contains an activator of plasminogen similar to the activator contained in the human endometrium and myometrium. It is demonstrated that the concentration of this activator is increased in the rat uterus during late estrous whereas castration is of no influence. The increase in concentration during late estrous may take place in the epithelial layer and not in the myometrium. This would correspond to the increase in tissue activator concentration previously recorded in the human endometrium in the secretory stage. Keywords
