Abstract
To compare the constant and instantaneous dye (T-1824) injn. techniques, 15 pairs of consecutive cardiac output detns. were performed on mongrel dogs. No consistent variations were noted, the results agreeing within 16% in all but one detn. The distribution of the % variation between the 2 methods was symmetrical. The constant injn. technique was deemed to be as valid as the instantaneous injn. method for determining cardiac output. Keywords
