Abstract
A new RF gate design is presented, utilizing an integrated circuit double-balanced mixer. The gate operates from any standard variable frequency oscillator and pulse-train generator and produces phase-coherent pulses of very high stability. The carrier suppression exceeds 60 dB and, subject to other component ratings, the theoretical upper frequency limit is 450 MHz.Keywords
