Abstract
An optimised sampled-grating DBR laser addressing 101 wavelengths over 44 nm with an SMSR of > 30 dB is reported. The ouput power variation under tuning is limited to only 5 dB over the whole tuning range. The switching time between any of these channels varies between 4 and 25 ns, depending on the wavelength excursion. Keywords
