Abstract
We have tested BPS for protons, deuterons and alpha particles and showd that BPS has a capability for particle identification. We have also shown, for the first time, that there is a close parallel in the behavior of BPS(BaF2 crystal), plastic scintillator. anthracene, BGO, NaI(Tl) and liquid scintillator toward the scintillation efficiencies. This behavior was explained by introducing the truck structure and the thermalization distance of ¿-ray electrons. Keywords
