Abstract
Spurious sidebands in the E.S.R. spectra of spin-polarized radicals produced on laser flash photolysis can be suppressed using a time-integration method. This technique is analysed using a Bloch equation approach to yield analytical expressions for the lineshape for a range of experimental conditions. These are combined with theoretical stick spectra corrected for CIDEP effects to yield theoretical spectra for comparison with observed ones. The digital nature of the data from the experiment allows convenient use of numerical resolution-enhancement methods. Keywords
