Abstract
The symmetric two component system of charged hard spheres is studied in the molten salt regime on the basis of a modified hypernetted chain (MHNC) equation. The two bridge functions E++(r) and E+−(r) are modeled in terms of the bridge function of hard spheres with two different diameters S++ and S+−, respectively. Unequal values for S++ and S+− lead to a significant improvement for thermodynamic and structural quantities with respect to HNC and RHNC results. However the radial distribution function for like charges is still not quantitatively correct. Keywords
