Abstract
The rat did not respond as does the dog with an increased urine output to administration of beef ant. lobe extract or of ant. lobe + thyroid. The usual response of urine output of normal, of postlobeetomized and of hypophysectomized rats to administration of ant. lobe alone or with thyroid is no change or a decrease; in 1 case of 7 hypophysectomized ant. lobe + thyroid was accompanied by a large increase. Failure of increase in urine output cannot be ascribed to a failure of increase in basal metabolic rate. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
