Abstract
Summary The steroids are definitely carcinogenic when they are given to animals in large doses. In man, the steroids in ordinary doses often enhance the growth of tumours already present. The number of new cases of cancer reported during the steroid treatment of human disease does not appear significantly great. Keywords
