Abstract
Iron-absorption studies were performed on a series of healthy persons and one subject with a gastric fistula. The data indicate that the absorption of iron is not necessarily related to the acidity of the stomach and that the absorption of iron is probably related to the absorptive capacity of the upper gastrointestinal tract. Keywords
