Abstract
Without being a common disease, sporotrichosis is an established infection in the Transvaal both inside and outside the Gold Mines. The circumstances influencing infections in the mining industry are reviewed and these are related to the epidemiological features of sporotrichosis on the Transvaal Highveld generally. Sans être une maladie fréquente, la sporotrichose est une infection bien établie au Transvaal, à la fois dans les Mines d'Or et dans les contrées avoisinantes. Les circonstances influençant les infections dans l'industrie minière sont passées en revue et reliées aux faits épidémiologiques de la sporotrichose qui sévit d'une façon générale dans le “Highveld” du Transvaal.Keywords
