Abstract
The use of data from cosmic-ray interactions with dense targets is discussed from the point of view of extracting information on interactions at high (cosmic ray) energies. We present a result which relates single-particle inclusive distributions on nuclear targets to single-particle inclusive distributions on nucleons. We show that there exists no serious conflict between present nuclear data and a flat pionization region.
