Abstract
A modified method for estimating the renal threshold for ascorbic acid based on the comparison of means and standard deviations for urinary excretions at various plasma ascorbic acid levels is presented. This method is simpler and appears to have a wider usefulness than that previously reported from this laboratory. The renal thresholds for 12 normal adults, as estimated by this method, were between 1.0 and 1.3 mg %. Further evidence is presented that the renal threshold for ascorbic acid is relatively stable from year to year. Keywords
