Abstract
By means of a compression cuff on the proximal part of the tail and a simple plethys-mograph on the distal portion of the tail accurate measurements of systolic pressure may be readily obtained without anesthesia. The animals have to be trained to the procedure and must be placed in a warming box[long dash]to diminish vasoconstrictor tone[long dash]before each measurement. Possible sources of error in the method are discussed. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
