Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 71-year-old woman was admitted to the hospital because of dyspnea and cough.She was well until 10 days earlier, when a dry cough and mild exertional dyspnea developed. A physician prescribed pseudoephedrine and erythromycin, but the dyspnea worsened progressively and finally occurred at rest. On the day of admission an x-ray film of the chest was reported to be abnormal, and she was referred to this hospital.Two years before admission x-ray films of the chest, taken elsewhere, showed a 3-mm nodule in the right lung that was interpreted as consistent with a granuloma.
