Abstract
The coefficients Q2 and Q4 used to correct experimentally determined A2 and A4 angular correlation and distribution coefficients, for the finite solid angle subtended by the detectors, are tabulated for various planar and coaxial Ge(Li) detectors. The following planar detectors are considered: (1.1 cm radius ×0.4 cm thick), (1.1×.6), (1.4×0.5), (1.4×1), (1.6×0.6), (1.6×0.9), (1.8×0.8), and (2×1). The coaxial detectors considered are (1.3 cm radius ×3.5 cm long), (1.3×4), (1.3×4.5), and (1.3×5), each with a 0.6 cm bore on the axis. These represent popular, commercially available detector sizes. Tabulations of the coefficient for the case in which all absorption occurs on the surface, and for the case in which it occurs on a midplane, are included. The latter may be used for corrections when charged particle detectors are used. Keywords
