Abstract
100 nm bandwidth Raman amplifiers have been realised using a 12-wavelength-channel WDM pumping unit comprising high-power GRINSCH strained layer MQW BH laser diode modules. The gain flatness is less than ± 0.5 dB, which is achieved through the asymmetric channel allocation of the pump and without the use of any gain equalisation filters. Keywords
