Abstract
Studies of the immune response to penicillin by the localized hemolysis-in-gel technique allowed the identification of specific cells releasing high or low efficiency hemolytlc antibodies. Liberation of specific anti-penicillin antibody by lymphoid cells In Immunized rabbits and mice corresponded with the appearance of serum antibody. Similar antibody forming cells were detected in the peripheral blood of penicillin sensitive human volunteers. Keywords
