Abstract
Global intelligent networking issues at the physical, transport, routing, and service levels are discussed. Factors that are required for global intelligent networking in the coming age in terms of architecture and technology are identified. Areas in which extensive studies and technical breakthroughs are required for realization of the global intelligent network are described. Keywords
