Abstract
A derivation of the probability of Compton scattering for an arbitrary initial and final photon polarization is sketched. The result is applied to the case of two successive Compton scatterings, and some possibilities of experimental verification are discussed. A remark is made on a simplification of the calculations of Compton scattering when it is used to analyze the polarization of annihilation quanta. Keywords
