Abstract
A detailed study of acoustic properties of MBBA and BMOAB in isotropic phase has been carried out. A universal dependence of the excess absorption and the dispersion of sound velocity has been obtained in the range ωτ − 10−2 − 102, which is in full agreement with the predictions of Imura and Okano theory. Keywords
