Abstract
The inhibitory effect of 17-hydroxycorticosterone-21-acetate on the formation of connective tissue was investigated in rabbits with adhesions experimentally induced by sprinkling talcum powder on the small intestine. Ten controls showed dense adhesions, whereas only one of 10 rabbits injected intraperitoneally with 150 mg of hydrocortisone acetate showed a significant degree of adhesions. Keywords
