Abstract
It is shown that 8-anilinonaphthalene-1-sulphonate is a permeant anion of whole mitochondrial membranes. It is also shown experimentally and algebraically that plots of reciprocal fluorescence against reciprocal membrane concentration, at a fixed 8-anilino-naphthalene-1-sulphonate concentration, are straight lines even when more than one binding site is involved. Keywords
