Abstract
The method of inequalities is used to design controllers for the regulation of terminal voltage and load angle of a turbo-alternator. The results are compared with those obtained by Ahson and Nicholson (1976) who made use of the inverse Nyquist array method. Some of the well-known difficulties of this problem are elucidated by the results. Keywords
