Phenomenological Analysis of Quasirotational Spectra and Possible Evidence for Higher-Phonon States

Abstract
We have developed a semiempirical description of the ground-state band of even quasirotational nuclei, based on the picture of anharmonic vibrations, which agrees surprisingly well with experiment. Comparison with previous empirical and semiempirical formulas is presented.Keywords
