Abstract
The nuclear magnetic resonance spectra of six o-disubstituted benzenes containing a carbonyl group have been analyzed. The chemical shifts of the proton-6, adjacent to the carbonyl group, show a solvent dependence, indicating changes in the intramolecular interactions between the two ortho substituents. Keywords
