Abstract
The uses and gratifications framework was applied to the question of choice of face‐to‐face, written and electronic channels in organizations for production, maintenance, and innovation communication. Choice was based on differences in production and innovation gratifications, but choice of traditional channels was marked by receiving more gratifications in low‐need situations. Keywords
