Abstract
In the two-component theory, the neutrino that can exist in nature is characterized by one of the eigen-values of the "chirality" operator, , which anticommutes with the parity operator. The chirality operator is generalized so that it can be applied also to bosons. The particle that can exist in nature is characterized by a certain condition on the eigenvalues of the chirality operator. There is strong reason to believe that the chirality quantum number thus introduced is closely related to the strangeness quantum number.
